TriVert receives a FIT Digital Grant of CHF 20’000

FIT | 23 July 2019

The jury of the FIT Digital program chose to support the startup TriVert with a FIT Digital Grant of CHF 20’000. TriVert is the first Swiss IT platform that connects people together or to businesses to facilitate and develop waste recycling. The young company, whose service is complementary to existing infrastructures, contributes to the protection of the environment, helps people and creates social bonds. Interview of its founder, Julien Demarcin.

What needs does TriVert meet ?

TriVert is the answer to many needs, which we have seen during market research and interviews. In summary:

  • Help for people: unfortunately, not everyone can move or carry recyclables in waste depots or ecopoints. There are also quite a few people who do not have a mean of transportation.
  • Saving time: some people do not have the time, or the appropriate schedules, to go to the waste depot or ecopoint.
  • Mutualization of journeys: many people who travel with their vehicle “empty” to waste depots or ecopoints. TriVert makes it possible to share the journeys.
  • Income: to be able to earn a little money by helping others for a noble cause.

Who is TriVert for ?

To each of the 3.7 million households in Switzerland who have to go to the waste points or ecopoints more or less frequently, as well as to companies that reside, have their domicile or head office in Switzerland.

At what stage of the development of your project are you?

Thanks to the support of OCTO Technology Switzerland, which is part of Accenture, we put in production at the beginning of July a first version of our IT platform. The latter is currently at the disposal of the inhabitants of Aubonne and Montherod, who are part of the pilot area and who are the first to benefit from it.

Our service will then be deployed in other municipalities in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva. Next, we aim to be able to deploy TriVert throughout Switzerland, and in other countries.

We encourage residents of other municipalities to register on our platform to receive information about our service:

How does the FIT help you ?

The grant awarded by the FIT and its FIT Digital program has not only contributed to the development of our platform but also to the marketing expenses necessary to make us known.

More than a financial aid, the FIT has allowed us to have access to a set of high-quality sources of information and feedbacks, which is very valuable.
