Founded in 1994, FIT supports the creation and development of new businesses in the canton of Vaud and in Western Switzerland.

FIT provides support through several programmes:

FIT Tech, for high-tech start-ups,
FIT Digital, for digital start-ups with an innovative business model and strong growth potential,
FIT Impact, for high-impact low-tech projects.

In 2025, FIT supported 61 projects for a total amount of 5.475 million Swiss francs.

FIT Impact 2026 Awards Ceremony

On 17 September, the third edition of the FIT Impact Awards will take place, organised this year as part of Showcase, in partnership with the Enterprise for Society Centre (E4S). Five finalist projects will present their innovation ahead of the awards ceremony hosted by FIT. The jury will award a Grand Prix worth 20,000 Swiss francs, and the audience will have the opportunity to award a People’s Choice Award of 5,000 francs. Isospec Analytics, MYSTONES and Skilder: three Vaud-based start-ups supported by the FIT

The Foundation for Innovation and Technology (FIT) is awarding a Tech Growth loan of CHF 400’000 to Isospec Analytics, an EPFL spin-off specialising in the identification of biological molecules for medical research. MYSTONES and Skilder are each receiving a CHF 20’000 Digital Grant: the former for its athlete tracking platform, the latter for centralising companies’ expertise within their AI tools.
